Shiny is back with a brand new attack! Here with a new roleplay to refresh your pallet. This is an advanced literate roleplay. So you might as well hit the back button right now if you don't fall in the category. Now I'm glad to say I have never seen a roleplay based off of this story in Barton before, so hopefully this is something new for all of you.

This is a light and humorous roleplay based off of the manga S.A by Maki Minami. A story of seven very interesting students in the top of their class in one of the most elite school in Japan. Hakusenkan High. Where students are measured by their test scores and placed into classes A through F. The top seven students in the A class are put in a special class called Special A. They get to lounge about in a separate building called paradise on campus in between classes. But there’s a rivalry that has been going on for ages inside of this group of friends. The girl ranked number two has been competing with the boy ranked number one ever since they were kids and is determined to beat him at least once in something. The only problem is, this kid is nearly unbeatable!

So come along on this crazy ride of rivalry, comedy and maybe even a little romance? What ever direction this roleplay is going in. I have a feeling it will be quite entertaining. And we will all learn a wonderful moral from this... being number two sucks!

[Literacy] This is an advanced literate roleplay. Hopefully if your here reading this then you already know what this means. But for you people out there who are still a bit fuzzy on it then let me clarify. Advanced literate by my standards is at least five plus paragraphs for your intro and I will accept four or more for an average one. If you have writers block or something along those lines, please don't come crying to me. You can surely think of something to post if you just take your time. but You can stick to the minimum if you must.

[Activity] Please, don't lie on your application and say that you'll be online any time needed or some crap like that. Because I don't want a bunch of dead beats in my roleplay. I have no problem taking out your profile and searching for a more responsible and dedicated person. Post in the OOC or the IC thread at least once every two days. PM me if your going anywhere and wont be able to be online for some time so I don't kick you out.

[Lovey Dovey] Everyone loves romance. But thats not the only thing this roleplay is centered around. This is also about rivalry and may sometimes contain a bit of fighting. nothing supernatural though. This is not some love sick girl who is searching for a date to the prom. So don't try to fall in love with everyone you meet. But if you do happen to get intimate in the roleplay. Congrats. But I don't want you dirtying my thread with e-sex. You do that and you'll be banned from this and any other roleplay I make.

[Rated] PG-13 for violence, strong language and complete insanity. Gaia is a pg-13 site and I tend to keep that with this thread so it doesn't get removed. That means you follow the TOS like a bible. Ok, maybe not like a bible but pay mind to the main rules.

[Cast] I'm going to say this right now. I don't want any incredibly emo characters, extreme stereotypes or mary-sue's in my roleplay. Sure people have sad parts in their lives but I don't want that to be the only thing you talk about. And everybody has flaws. Two sides to everything right? I'll be screening profiles for every little detail so try to keep things interesting and fun. Be as creative as you can be. There is no limit to where you can build your character from the information you are given. Off coarse there are no gods either. That would just be no fun at all. Though Mr. Number One may seem unbeatable he has flaws also. I allow all sexual orientations in my roleplay so don't be worried about that either.

[Reservations] I'm not taking reservations. Apply for what you want and I'll pick the best of the best by a certain deadline that I have yet to think of.

[Posting] Make your posts prettyfull, but readable. Keep your typing font between 9-11 and no unreadable colors unless they are part of the design. Put pictures and song lyrics, I don't care. It's your post and your characters personality. So go wild! Just make sure we can all still read it!

[g u n s] Shiny is not some dark looming, strict person who hates randomness and fun. She is the exact opposite. She likes people to be as crazy and random as they can be! Could you imagine going to a school that didn’t even look like a school, but some sort of fancy mansion with a large entry way with an old Victorian feel. Where students come to school in crisp, pristine uniforms and are driven there in expensive cars. Only learning from the best teachers and text books. Could you imagine lazily wasting away your afternoon in a bright conservatory at high tea time instead of spending it in one of your droll afternoon classes. Having your own separate building from the school itself meant only for the cream of the crop. Well this imaginary school of almost unbelievable stature is real for these seven kids. These teens have known each other since kindergarten and have always been the very top seven of their class. These students are in a class called Special A or S.A for short. All are from highly acclaimed families and have a very large pull over their world. But one of these members of the group isn’t all she appears to be when surrounded by all her rich group members. She got into S.A by hard work instead of using money or lineage to get such a high position. All to work toward a single goal. But lets rewind things a bit to get a little history on the situation.

Back when our little pauper was a young girl, he father taught her all she needed to know about strength and fighting. And she had been unbeatable, she even caught purse snatcher once at a rather young age. Her family was of average wealth and she had no special connections in the family or corporeal world or anything like that. But she got by happily. But that all changed when mister number one came along. He beat her in a mater of seconds in a wrestling match. Laughing smugly at the little girls 'abilities' and coldly turning away. Diminishing her ego and showing her something she had never learned before, humility. And so it began. She trained even harder everyday. Studied until her head slammed against the desk in a faint of exhaustion, even persuaded her parents to pay tuition to go to the same elite school he went to. All to reach one pressing and life long goal. Which is to beat him at something and wipe that smug, apathetic look off his face once and for all. But she just can’t seem to beat him at anything, whether it is academic or physical, and remains in the number two spot in the S.A class. Some people even think that this number one boy is some sort of super human and that she should just give up. But Miss Number two knows that if she works hard enough, she’ll beat him one day. Eventually.

So back to the present time. The students of special A will face many challenges now that they are in their high school years. Not only academically in the sense of keeping their spots in the club. But emotionally as problems arise in the tiny group, as well as outside sources that mess with the heads of this group filled with the elite of the elite. So this adds even more pressure to the shoulders of our girl miss number two. But even though there are problems on the way that will threaten the group, adventure will come to in the many parties and vacations they may take. Will number two finally be able to terminate he adversary number one? Or will she just settle for being number two. [Highly doubtable] We will just have to see now won't we? It's time to shake up the lives of these well groomed rich kids and stir the pot of drama once more.

Now so you don't get lost in this big huge area, I'm going to explain the campus of the school a bit. The area is pretty isolated, surrounded by man made forest and a high brick wall to keep it's privacy. The black iron gates open up in front to reveal a walkway some students who don't get driven to school use. Car entrance is somewhere on the side, this road curves around the front of the school to let kids out then drives back out on the opposite exit from where it entered. In the first building you see from the driveway in front, is a large, mansion like building where most of the classes go on. In back of the main building are two others. One on the east for music and theater classes along with some creative writing classes. And the west building is for the Athletics departments where the gym, the field and the school pool are located. Now if you go a little further back you'll find the Special. A building, or what most kids call paradise on campus. It consists of the large conservatory filled with plants and elegant looking furniture and a small kitchen in the back that number six mostly uses to make the tea. And that’s Hakusenkan High School for you. And who knows, you might be able toe discover some new things around campus that I haven't even told you about.

{ no. 1 } -- This kid is definitely someone you don't want to mess with. Half of the school is too scared to even look him in the eyes. He’s very hard to read a lot of the time and his moods can change at the drop of a dime. One moment he can seem gentle, kind, like an actual human being. But if anything wee to anger him, or his plans for the way things should go are foiled, then he can turn into a cold blooded, soulless, silent maniac. But most to of the time he takes a stoic, apathetic attitude that just seems to drive everyone crazy. And not in a good way.

{ no. 2 } -- Ever since she was little she's been trained to be a fighter and to be tough. So as you could imagine she isn't exactly your frilly girly type. And she has no problems with this. Since her social stature isn't as high as the other kids are, she's amazed by the little things rich kids tend to take for granted. When ever a challenge arises she tends to act on impulse rather then thinking things through. And it takes a while for her to understand underlying emotions they might have for her. [-cough totally oblivious to love -cough-] She can sometimes be thick headed and stubborn, but is loved by the group simply for her kind nature.

{ no. 3 } -- Feeling bored, having a bad day, something sad going on in your pretty little head? Then you need toe talk to this guy. He's very energetic and enjoys bouncing around the walls of the conservatory like the energizer bunny. But he can be serious to. Especially when he's working on his next artistic brake through. He tends to get very protective. Mostly over his sister and number seven. Who he and his sister have known since they were babies due to family connections.

{ no. 4 } -- She's so quiet most don't even notice she's in the room. When she does speak, it's only at the most necessary, or random of times. And if you happen to be looking for her, you can check by her brother or number seven, since she basically clings to them. But you can most definitely hear her when she plays her music. She was playing piano fluently by the age of four and has been picking up many other instruments ever since. And though she is quiet and shy, she is accepted into the group of friends that has formed in S.A almost as something they'd always protect.

{ no. 5 } -- "May I get that for you?" "Oh, let me pick that up for you." "You know you have the most beautiful eyes!" "My number? Oh um… I got to go!" This is usually how most of his interactions with the fairer sex go. He'd do anything for them just to see their radiant smiles. But once they get to close and clingy or the relationship gets a bit too serious, he tends to break it off right then and there. Though he obviously has terrible commitments issues and is a shameless flirt, he does have a soul and is usually very good with giving advice. Another charm that comes along with this guy is that his mother is the director of the school. Meaning he can ask her for favors and other things S.A may need. Or any other student, but for a price. Yes, he is quite the swindler.

{ no. 6 } -- If you've ever had an overprotective, overbearing mother, then you can relate miss number six to that personality. She tends to be the care taker of the group. Making the tea and cakes when S.A relaxes in the conservatory. Always making sure the guys are kept in line and number four and two are ok. Actually, she does favor girls more then guys and sees most guys as stupid and insignificant. When she does get protective, she can get very violent, some even say horrifying. Like a mother bear whose cubs have been disturbed in some way. But deep down she is a calm loving person. The loving and protective as

far as the wrath of a woman's heart goes. She also enjoys cooking and can’t go a few hours without her fix of tea.

{ no. 7 } -- He normally stays quiet, but not because he's shy or anything. Just because he doesn't normally feel the need toe speak. But he does act like a mediator between people when they start to argue. He's got a pretty laid back personality, which is surprising considering he's a pretty big sports athlete around the school. He isn't the least bit competitive or garish when he's out of the game and just around other people. Unlike some people we could name. Ahem number one. But anyway. He's basically just happy to be where he is even though he's at the bottom of the group in S.A. He'd rather be at the bottom then in a lower latter class. Since he has known the siblings from when they were all little, they have taken to him quickly, always hanging on or around him. But he doesn't mind. He's just a very easy going spirit.

October fourth -- Maybe it's just the fall weather but the day is at an exceptionally fair temperature. Puffy white clouds dot the sky randomly and a light breeze passes through the area every now and then. This perfect day has just begun as the students enter school.

Dry? Barren is more like it. With the release of Batman everyone is creating superhero fan fictions. That or I see Twilight and Harry Potter splattered everywhere. I prefer following the context of a film rather than a novel. I hate disfiguring characters that essentially belong to another author. It's hard. But re-writing someone else's work isn't my thing.
